The RANDY AWARDS is the CAST Annual Recognition of the accomplishments of the actors, technicians, staff and all other volunteers during the previous season.  It is named in memory of the late Anniston playwright Randy Hall, a co-founder of CAST, recipient of the Edel Y. Ayers Award, and a great friend.  A journalist with THE ANNISTON STAR, Randy wrote the plays, GROVER, ARTS & LEISURE, THE WIDOW’S BEST FRIEND, THE CAMELLIA BALL and BLACK WARRIOR, earning a Governor’s Award from the Alabama State Council on the Arts for his effort.  Several of his plays have been staged at theatres throughout the country, including in Anniston at the former ACTheatre and CAST.
